ITA Awards

A call for nominations has been issued for ITA Awards to be presented during the Annual Convention in June. The ITA Awards, created specifically for employees in our industry, are significant and very meaningful to the individuals who receive them. Please take some time to reflect on a deserving person whom you might nominate for an award. Please note that the nominations should state specific ways in which the nominee meets criteria for the award.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD This award encompasses accomplishments over a period of years, outstanding achievements both within and outside the telephone industry, promotion of both the Indiana and national telephone industries, and active involvement in community affairs.  Eligibility is limited to present or former Category I or II member company employees only.

PACESETTER AWARD This award was created to reward persons who have performed unusual service for the benefit of the telephone industry through the ITA or national industry programs.  Requirements include service performance strictly within the state and/or national industry framework with emphasis placed on current accomplishments; activities must have benefited the Indiana and/or national telephone industries and furthered the ITA program.  Employees of all member companies are eligible.

HUMANITARIAN AWARD This award is presented to an employee or employees (current or former) of an ITA member company who has performed a humanitarian act above and beyond the call of duty or who has saved a life or lives, at considerable risk of their own, while employed by a Category I or II member company.

ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY AWARD This award is presented to an employee or employees of an ITA member company who has made a significant unusual contribution enhancing the technology of the Local Exchange Carrier industry (locally, statewide and/or nationally).  Only present or former Category I or II member company employees are eligible.
